but if a man decided to throw on a skirt its a problem?

I have to admit I am a physicist and know nothing of the beautilogical arts. My hair has grown longer and I am in a dillema, I have no idea whether to cut it or not. Also my facial hair is starting to get alittle out of control. Is it is style to have long unruly hair? I am willing to take any fashion advice at this point.

I am 19 years old and consider myself a pretty trendy guy. But then today i got up to go to and realized my usual Church garb was a little outdated and just not classy. So, now I am looking to restock my closet with nice clothes that will help me stand out. I am a pretty rugged looking guy, sporting a healthy beard, and I kinda want something that will my chiseled appearance. Any advice will help, and i dont really consider myself a tie guy(but i am willing to suffer mild neck constriction in the name of fashion).

What are your views on the latest fashion for men that involve "man purses", and longer wearing shirts that look like 'dresses' over pants?
((I personally find that men who wear nailpolish or eye makeup - like some rock bands - a bit odd, but to fit the men's style into what is considered a 'woman's' apparel???))

To each their own, I suppose, but I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on this - especially from a guy's point of view!
